A private garden built around greenery, stone and water.
This courtyard was designed as a calm, enclosed garden within the home. Dense planting, natural stone and a restrained water feature create a sense of privacy while keeping the space connected to the surrounding rooms.
The courtyard needed to feel green and immersive without becoming visually heavy. The design therefore uses different heights and textures of planting to create depth.
A restrained palette of stone, gravel and dark water gives the greenery a strong visual foundation while keeping the architecture visible through the planting.
